Hairy paradižniki are a true botanical rarity that captivates with both their appearance and taste. Their velvety fruits and leaves are not only an aesthetic feature, but also protect the plant from the sun and drying out. Among the most popular varieties that you can order in our online store are: Fuzzy Wuzzy and Angora Super Sweet – each with its own character, but both exceptional.
Fuzzy Wuzzy is an extremely special, decorative traditional variety, recognizable by its hairy, almost velvety fruit skin and slightly hairy leaves. This makes it one of the rare hairy paradižnike and is very popular among collectors and lovers of unusual varieties.
The fruits are small to medium-sized (60–90 g), slightly oval, orange-red with yellow streaks when ripe. The flesh is soft, sweet, aromatic and low in acid – ideal for fresh snacks, salads or straight from the plant.
The plant is determinant, compact and does not require support, making it perfect for pots, balconies and smaller gardens. In our experience, it is one of the most productive varieties paradižnika for growing in containers, as it can produce several hundred fruits per season. A medium-early variety that combines beauty, practicality and excellent taste.
🍒 Angora Super Sweet – fluffy sweetness without competition
.Angora Super Sweet, also known as Velvet Red, is a real star among the special cherry varieties paradižniki. Its bluish-gray, velvety hairy leaves and fluffy fruits give it an almost ornamental appearance – but don't let the looks fool you, it's the taste that wins.
The fruits are small (about 1 cm), round, bright red, with an extremely sweet, fruity taste. In 2023, the variety received an award at Diggers Tomato Taste Test, where she was selected for the most delicious paradižnik. Juicy, tender fruits with thin skin are perfect for eating right from the garden.
The plant is indeterminant, grows to 1.6–1.8 m and needs support. It can also be grown as a bush (without removing side shoots), which further increases the yield. It ripens early to medium early (65–70 days after transplanting) and forms abundant clusters of sweet fruit throughout the season.
