Tomatoes San Marzano Yellow (Solanum lycopersicum) is special yellow version of the classic San Marzano, which retains its recognizable elongated shape, fleshy structure and dense texture, while also bringing a completely new, light yellow color and a pleasant mild aroma.
The fruits are elongated, cylindrical, approximately long 8–12cm, with a firm and thin shell and very fleshy internal parts. The yellow color also indicates flavor: sweet, delicate, low in acidity and a more »soft« aroma than red San Marzano.
The plant is indeterminate (needs support) but weak/slower growth, with abundant and consistent harvests throughout the season. Ripe mid-season, and the fruits resist cracking well due to their firm skin.
The yellow version of the most popular paradižnika for sauces is an ideal choice for cooking sweet sauces.
