Pantano Romanesco tomatoes is traditional Italian variety type beefsteak, which originates from the Rome area. It is valued for its extremely sweet taste and large, fleshy fruits.
The plant is indeterminate (needs support) and forms large, slightly ribbed fruits (300–500g), bright red color and tender meat. The variety is ideal for salads, fresh use and preparing sauces. Pantano Romanesco is considered one of the best varieties for true Italian flavor.
