Melon – Uncle Sam

The Uncle Sam F1 melon is a Honey Dew type hybrid, valued for the plant's fertility and good leaf mass, which naturally protects the fruits from the sun and ensures high aesthetic and taste quality.

The fruits are round, with a smooth skin of light green color, which turns creamy yellow when ripe. Very attractive and easily recognizable when harvested.

The flesh is intensely salmon-colored, firm, very aromatic, with a medium-sized seed cavity. The sugar content is very high, making the variety excellent for fresh consumption, where it stands out for its sweet taste and juiciness.

The hybrid has good genetic resistance to key diseases such as:

• Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melonis (races 0–2)
• Powdery mildew (PM)

This allows for a stable and reliable crop and less need for protective agents.
