Cucumber Gel Tros (Cucumis sativus) is old, less known, but very appreciated traditional yellow-fruited cucumber variety, characterized by its elongated fruits, which when ripe become yellow to golden yellow peel. In the young stage, the fruits are green and excellent for fresh consumption, while yellow maturity brings a more pronounced, slightly more aromatic flavor.
The fruits are usually 15–20 cm long, slightly rough and very juicy. The taste is gentle, slightly sweet, with a refreshing aroma – a true summer crop.
The plant is lush and strongly growing, suitable for growing on a support or in the ground. It grows well in warm, sunny locations and is known for very good fertility and excellent resistance to heat and changing conditions.
