Dragon Fruit – Lisa

Pitaya Lisa (Hylocereus polyrhizus) is an attractive and prized variety of red pitaya originating from Nicaragua, where she was selected for excellent taste, high yield and good resistance to heat. The plant has short but prominent spine.  With age, the plant develops increasingly light, almost white waxy coating, which improves resistance to strong sunlight and high temperatures.

The fruits are oval, bright pink-red, with distinct green scales. The flesh is dark red, juicy and sweet, with a delicate berry aroma. The Lisa variety is known for extremely strong flesh colors and pleasant balanced sweetness.
