Homemade preparations for strengthening plants
1. Bio soda fungicide
Purpose
We use this natural fungicide for control of anthracnose, early forms of downy mildew, downy mildew and spotting, as well as gray mold – powdery mildew. Used preventively and curatively, in early forms of the disease.
Preparation
For this universal fungicide we need:
- 5l of water,
- 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda (not a full tablespoon, but leveled),
- 2 and a half tablespoons of any vegetable oil,
- 1/2 tablespoon of baby soap.
Mix everything well and pour into a spray bottle. The spray is ready. Shake the spray bottle regularly while spraying to prevent the ingredients from separating.
Usage
Spray the plant thoroughly on the top and bottom of the leaves, and also spray the soil under the plant. Repeat the process before and after the rainy season, when the possibility of fungal diseases is greatest, or as a preventative measure once a week. Wash the sprayer thoroughly after use, as the product is sticky!
2. Milk preparation
Purpose
Hardening, strengthening and resistance of plants, calcium supply (also in case of rotting of the lower part of the fetus). Milk has no curative function!
Preparation
Milk and water mix in a 1:1 ratio for foliar application (spraying), in the same or smaller ratio for watering.
Usage
Spray in the morning, on the plant and leaves. It can also be used on other vegetables and plants. Milk is also useful in a smaller proportion, when it is left in a tetrapack and added to the watering water.
