The mix is ideal for anyone who wants to discover the authentic world of Mexican cuisine.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"416\" data-end=\"914\"><strong data-start=\"416\" data-end=\"466\">What is tomatillo or \u201cMexican paradi\u017enik\u201d?<\/strong><br data-start=\"466\" data-end=\"469\" \/>Tomatillo (<em data-start=\"480\" data-end=\"499\">Physalis ixocarpa<\/em> \/ <em data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"526\">Physalis philadelphica<\/em>) is an important traditional crop of Mexico and Central America. The fruits are covered with a characteristic <strong data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"645\">paper lantern<\/strong>, and the color can be green, yellow, purple or even golden-green. The taste is <strong data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"747\">fresh, slightly sour<\/strong>, often with delicate citrus notes \u2013 making tomatillo the basis for <strong data-start=\"832\" data-end=\"847\">salsa verde<\/strong>, types of sauces, curries, stews, baked sauces and fresh salsas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"916\" data-end=\"1064\">The plants are lush and strong, <strong data-start=\"944\" data-end=\"963\">they are not self-fertile<\/strong>, so they need at least two different plants for a successful harvest.
