Pumpkin Violin<\/strong> (Cucurbita moschata<\/em>) is one of the most popular old varieties of muskmelon, valued for its sweetness, excellent aroma and exceptional storage stability<\/strong>. Name Violin<\/em> originates from its characteristic shape, which resembles a violin or hourglass<\/strong> \u2013 the fruits are elongated, slightly curved<\/strong>, with a slightly ribbed, occasionally wrinkled surface. The shell is light orange to beige<\/strong>, and meat deep orange, very thick, buttery and distinctly sweet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The violin is great for baking, soups, purees, pasta, risotto, jams<\/strong>, as well as for desserts, as it has a naturally high sugar content. The fleshy part contains little moisture, so it does not fall apart during cooking and retains a pleasant texture.<\/p>\n

The plant is lush, creeping<\/strong>, shoots can reach up to 3\u20134 meters<\/strong>, so it needs enough space on the shaft. Rims medium late<\/strong>, approximately 95\u2013110 days from sowing<\/strong>, and the fruits are heavy 3\u20136 kg<\/strong>, and with good care even more.
