Gardening season is starting, but when is the right time to sow vegetables? When deciding the right time to sow, consider when you will transplant your plants outdoors or into a greenhouse. Sowing too early can result in seedlings that are too large, more sensitive to changes and more susceptible to disease. Ideal seedlings for transplanting are compact, about 15 cm tall and without flowers.<\/p>\n

Sowing tomatoes<\/strong>ka \u2013 when is the right time?<\/strong> Among gardeners, the rule of thumb is that the optimal time to sow paradi\u017enika is 6\u20138 weeks before transplanting outdoors. In mainland Slovenia, this is usually in March (even the first week of April will not be too late). Those who have a greenhouse or garden on the coast, where the risk of frost is lower, can sow paradi\u017enik a little earlier. Usually, the soil warms up enough to be suitable for transplanting only in the first half of May.<\/p>\n

Sowing too early, e.g. in January or February, is not recommended, as the plants will be stretched, pale and weaker in this case. You will not miss anything if you decide to sow in the first weeks of April, as the plants will grow well under suitable conditions.<\/p>\n
