Chili Tabasco (Capsicum frutescens) is a world-famous variety from which the famous chili pepper is made. Tabasco sauce. The plants are lush and fertile, the fruits grow upright, which gives them a characteristic appearance. During ripening, they turn from light yellow, orange to red.
The fruits are sharp burning (around 30,000–50,000 SHU), but they have a characteristic fruity-sour taste, which makes them ideal for sauces, fermentation, drying or pickling.
