Tomatoes Mountain Gold is a reliable and productive variety from the American "Mountain" series, developed by Dr. Randy Gardner on North Carolina State University (USA). The variety was created as an improved version of the yellow-fruited paradižniks, intended primarily for disease resistance and uniform yield even in less favorable weather conditions.
The fruits are medium-sized (180–220 g), round shape and golden to orange-yellow color, with a delicate skin and firm, juicy flesh. The taste is mildly sweet, with low acidity, which makes it ideal for salads, fresh use and preparing sauces.
The plant is determinant (bushy growth, does not need support), compact in shape and suitable for both outdoor cultivation as well as in larger containers. The variety does well in warmer climates and is known for excellent resistance to Fusarium and Verticillium.
