Tomatoes Blue Sky (Solanum lycopersicum) is a modern variety from the group of anthocyanin (“blue”) varieties, which captivates with its distinct color, firm flesh and excellent, mildly fruity flavor. It is bicolor variety, where the outer shell passes from dark blue-black (due to anthocyanin) in red color on the lower part of the fruit, while the inner flesh remains intense red. The fruits are round, 30–60 g, with thin shell and a very firm texture.

The taste is slightly sweet, low acid, with delicate fruity tones. Due to its attractive color, Blue Sky is also very popular as ornamental varietal feature in gardens or collectors' collections.

The plant is indeterminate (needs support) and reaches 1.8–2.2m height. It has a medium growth rate and grows best in in a greenhouse, against a protected wall or on a sunny terrace. It ripens medium early, approximately 70–84 days after transplanting. Due to its thin skin, strong color and special genetics, it is especially suitable for enthusiasts and collectors, as well as for gardeners looking for something truly unique.

Blue Sky is new European selection, which has become popular among connoisseurs in recent years due to its colorfulness, firm flesh, and extremely stable yield.
