Kiwano – African cucumber

Kiwano is real exotic attraction garden — fruits with orange skin, and small “hard” ones, hide a green gelatinous core, which offers crunchy, refreshing taste with a slightly sour note. The plant is a climber and needs support and enough warmth and sun for good fruiting. If they do not ripen outdoors, wrap them in newspaper in late autumn and move them to a warm basement.
