Chili Sparkler (Capsicum annuum) is an extremely decorative, compact and very colorful variety that impresses with its appearance at first sight. The fruits grow upright, in dense clusters, giving the plant the appearance of sparks – hence the name Sparkler.
As they ripen, they go through a stunning color spectrum: from creamy white, in yellow, orange, and all the way to bright red. Several colors often appear on the same plant at the same time, creating an extremely vibrant, almost explosive decorative effect.
The fruits are small, thin-walled and surprisingly aromatic. The pungency is medium high that's why fruits are great for drying, preparation of chili powders, spicy oils, spice blends, but also for fresh use when you want to add a little spice to a dish.
The plant is very compact, ideal for pots, window sills, balconies or ornamental plantings. Due to its size and large amount of fruit, Sparkler is often chosen as an ornamental chili, which is also perfectly useful in the kitchen.
