Carosello – Scopatizzo o Leccese is a rare traditional variety from southern Italy, which forms light green, slightly shaped fruits with a thin, slightly „hairy“ skin, but they are enjoyed until they are fully ripe — like cucumbers, in fact — and have sweet-blissful, fresh taste without bitterness. Growth is lush, can creep or climb, and the variety is more resistant to some diseases than regular cucumbers. The fruits are usually eaten young, raw, in salads or as a side dish
