Pumpkin Spaghetti woman (Cucurbita pepo), is a unique variety that forms a spaghetti-like fibers. The fruits are oval, approximately long 20–25 cm and weigh 1.5–2 kg. The shell is light yellow, smooth and durable, and the flesh pale yellow and when cooked it breaks down into long, thin threads, similar to pasta. The taste is gentle, slightly sweet, with a mild nutty touch.
The plant has medium lush, creeping growth and gives stable yield even in a variety of weather conditions. It ripens approximately 90–100 days from sowing, therefore it belongs to medium late varieties. The spaghetti maker is ideal for healthy cuisine, because it is excellent pasta substitute – pour the fibers over the sauce of your choice or use in baked dishes. The fruits are they store well and maintain quality for several months after harvest.
