Tomato – Not Purple Strawberry

Tomatoes Not Purple Strawberry is rare American variety with an interesting history – despite its name, it is not purple, but rather forms dark red fruits with chocolate shades. It was created as an accidental cross between varieties Black Strawberry and another dark variety from the same line of amateur breeders from the USA.

The fruits are large (250–400 g), heart-shaped, very fleshy and aromatic, with a characteristic sweet, rich flavor and a slightly smoky note reminiscent of the classic "black" paradižnike. Due to its beautiful shape and color, the variety is popular with collectors and gardeners looking for rare and gourmet varieties.

The plant is indeterminate (needs support), grows lushly and bears abundant fruit throughout the summer. Ripening is medium late., approximately 80–85 days after transplanting, and the fruits are excellent for salads, fresh use and preparing sauces.
