Rio Fuego is very fertile and robust variety of pelata paradižnika, specially developed for processing into sauces, passatas and drying. The variety is valued for its early ripening and compact, determinant growth, which allows easy cultivation even outdoors or in the ground, without demanding care.

Plant:
It is about determinant variety (shrubby growth), which does not need support.

Fruits:
The fruits are elongated, pelat type, with firm flesh and low water content – ideal for cooking, pickling, drying and preparation of concentrates. They ripen early in the season and very uniform. The variety reaches extremely high yields, which is a big advantage for those who grow paradižnik for storage.

Usage:
Due to its compact shape and fleshy interior, Rio Fuego an excellent choice for paradižnik sauces, purees, drying and home canning.
