Tomatoes Indigo Kumquat (Solanum lycopersicum) is an extremely decorative member of the so-called “Indigo” paradižnik group, which is famous for its expressive dark anthocyanin coloration on the upper parts of the fruit. This variety combines deep purple-black shoulders s light orange - yellow the lower part when the fruit ripens – a real feast for the eyes.
The fruits are small to medium-sized (20–40g), oval or slightly elongated shape, with a thin, very shiny skin. The taste is sweet and refreshing, with a slightly fruity note, and an additional aroma that can be slightly tropical. Due to its combination of colors and pleasant taste, Indigo Kumquat is ideal for salads, decoration, snacks and mixed plates of colorful cherry paradižniks.
The plant is indeterminate (needs support), lush and very productive. The fruits ripen in clusters, often in large numbers, allowing for continuous harvesting throughout the season. The variety is also somewhat more tolerant of sun and heat due to the high anthocyanin content in the skin.
