Habanero Red chili is a classic variety from the habanero group with very high spiciness and a distinct aroma. The plant is medium lush, well-branched and bears abundantly throughout the year.
The fruits are characteristically wrinkled and lantern-shaped. As they ripen, they turn from green to intense red color. The flesh is thin, very aromatic and suitable for fresh use, processing and also drying.
The taste is fruity aromatic, and the spiciness is very high, usually between 200,000–350,000 SHU. The variety is suitable for preparation of hot sauces, salsas, marinades, drying and grinding into powder, where both the aroma and the distinct sharpness are preserved.
