Tomatoes Vilvoorde vegetable garden (Solanum lycopersicum) is beautiful traditional European variety, which originates from the former famous horticultural center Vilvoorde Vegetable Garden in Belgium. This historic garden was known for breeding many quality vegetables, including this paradižnika, which is still famous today for excellent taste and reliable yield.
The fruits are medium-sized (approximately 80–120 g), round to slightly flattened, with uniform red color and smooth skin. The flesh is firm, juicy, with an extremely pleasant balance between sweetness and acidity. It is a great all-rounder paradižnik, suitable for salads, sandwiches, cooking, sauces and everyday use in the home kitchen. Due to the structure of the meat, it also works very well for stuffing or baking.
The plant is indeterminate (needs support), vital growth and abundant fertility. The Potager de Vilvorde is known for bearing fruit evenly and very reliably – even in seasons when other varieties yield less. Ripen medium early, so we can enjoy it already at the beginning of summer.
It is a variety with a European tradition and excellent taste, which is the right choice for any garden where we want a reliable, tasty and proven variety.
